Alice BallsAlice Ball was an African-American chemist who developed an injectable oil extract that was the most effective cure for leprosy until the 1940s. Leprosy is a disease that causes skin lesions and nerve damage. This was good because in the day leprosy was a common and dangerous disease. Alice Ball was not recognized by her college until the 2000s.
